Solar panels

Solar panels are devices consisting of solar cells that convert light into electricity. They called upon the sun sun or "sol" because the sun is the strongest light source that can be utilized. Solar panels are often called photovoltaic cells, photovoltaic can be interpreted as "light-electricity". Solar cells or PV cells rely on the photovoltaic effect to absorb solar energy and cause the current flow between two layers of opposite charge.

Total use of solar panels on the portion of electric manufacture very small world, restrained by the high cost at watt compared with fossil fuels - can be ten times higher, depending on circumstances. They have become routine in some limited applications such as, running the "buoy" or appliance in the desert and other remote areas, and in other experiments they have been used to provide power to car racing in contests such as the world solar challenge in Australia.
